Conditions of the admission procedure

The admission examination takes the form of a written test in both languages of the chosen combination. In addition to the knowledge of the culture, history and geography of the language areas of the chosen combination, the test tests the level of knowledge of the foreign languages in question by means of various types of multiple-choice exercises: English and German at B2 level, French at B1 level and Russian at A2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Due to the nature of the study programme, the examination also includes a written test in the Czech language, which is aimed at determining the level of the applicant's knowledge in the lexical-grammatical area. It presupposes successful completion of the matriculation examination in Czech or Slovak (for foreigners outside the Czech Republic and Slovakia, at least basic knowledge of the Czech language, which will be intensively deepened). The test does not test knowledge of literature or literary theory.
